ANZAC Day 2026 Coin in Card Perth Mint
ANZAC Day falls on 25 April each year, marking the day in 1915 when Australian and New Zealand troops landed at Gallipoli. Since 1916 it has been a day to honour the courage and sacrifice of those who served in World War I and in every conflict since.
The coin features a slouch hat and red poppy flowers, two symbols strongly associated with Australian military service. The red poppy became a symbol of remembrance from its connection to the battlefields of World War I, while the slouch hat has represented the Australian soldier since Gallipoli. The design also includes a torch and eternal flame motif, the inscriptions '25 APRIL' and 'LEST WE FORGET', the 2026 year-date and a 'P' mintmark. The uncirculated aluminium bronze coin is housed in a card with a circular window showing both sides of the coin.
